The Royal Thai Embassy in Lima welcomes Thai students under 2012 AFS Exchange programe to Peru

On 8 March 2012, Mrs. Lisbeth Sanchez de Sifuentes , National Director of the AFS Programme of Peru, together with the 8 newly arrived Thai students who will spend 10 months in Peru as exchange students of the AFS programme,  paid a courtesy call to Ambassador Kamthorn Sithtichoti at the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima.

In this occasion, Ambassador kamthorn Sithtichoti and diplomatic officers gave them warm welcome to Peru and encouraged them to perform a good role of Thai youth who will be considered as Young Ambassadors of Thailand in the local areas of Peru. Ambassador reiterated that the role of good Thai citizen is to contribute positively to the country, in this case, by promoting good information and image of Thailand among the Peruvian society they will live in.

Besides, the Royal Thai Embassy took this opportunity to establish contacts with individual students as well as staffs of the AFS Peru in order to be able to take care of the students appropriately. The students were also informed of  useful information about living in Peru, the do and don’t things from Embassy’ staffs. This information will help them gaining best experiences while living in Peru.
