Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand pays a courtesy visit to Peru to co-chair the 3rd Thailand – Peru Joint Commission and participates in activities organized in Lima and Cusco.

Between 16 – 21 February 2012 Mr. Jullapong Nonsrichai, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Thailand paid an official visit to Peru to participate and co-chair chaired the 3rd Meeting of the Peru-Thai Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation in Lima with Mr. Jose Beraun Aranibal, Vice Minister for External Relations of the Republic of Peru as well as to participate in activities organized in Lima and Cusco.

On 17 February 2012, after the 3rd Meeting of  Peru- Thai Joint Commission had been concluded, Mr. Vice Minister presided over the opening ceremony of the new chancery of the Royal Thai Embassy in Lima located at  No. 678 Coronel Portillo in the San Isidro district. The opening of the new chancery reflects the growing and cordial relations  between Thailand and Peru in all aspects. In this official ceremony, the Vice Minister Mr. Jose Beraun Aranibal also attended as the guest of honor.

Vice Minister Jullapong also paid a visit to the city of Cusco from 18 – 21 February 2012 at the invitation extended by the local authority. In this occasion, the Vice Minister held bilateral meetings with Mr. Jorge Isaac Acurio Tito, President of the Region of Cusco  as well as Mr. Luis Arturo Florez Garcia, Mayor of Cusco. Both sides agreed to foster the economic relations between Thailand and the Region by taking advantage of the trade and investment potentials, including the airport expansion project of Cusco.
